On Tuesday, it is my brother’s 50th birthday. How did that happen? I know he has eight years on me but it doesn’t seem that long ago that I couldn’t image becoming 50. I am beginning to understand how older friends and relatives felt when they talked about physically ageing without really feeling any older.

When it came to designing the card my first thought was that yellow is Robert’s favourite colour. I know he is a fan of most types of wildlife, including birds (He has created a collection of bird feeders in the garden). So I decided to go with Hunkydory Birds of Britain Collection and here is the completed card:

I am a massive fan of Hunkydory products, the images are die cut so well and nearly all of them pop out easily. The foiling is absolutely beautiful and it is this that sets the card kits off so well. In general, I am a fan of discs as they allow you to have massive collections in a small space but they can’t compare with the foiled images by Hunkydory. The only items on the card that are not by them are the gold mat layer which is a Create and Craft product and the fifty which I cut from the same cardstock as the matting layer using my ScanNCut. ย I absolutely love this machine and will no doubt be talking about it a lot in the future.
