Living Creatively with Fibro | Father's Day CardNext Sunday is Father’s Day so today I concentrated upon making my Father’s Day card, well the first one because I now have a father in law to make a card for too. It is always strange making this card because my father has his birthday on 10th June so there is not much time between the two celebrations so I don’t have very long to come up with a totally different card idea. The theme is not too big a problem though as my Dad loves boats so they are a reliable go to and this year I have once again chosen this there.

Here is this year’s card. It was made using Debbi Moore’s Silhouettes for Men disc. the images are so easy to work with and all the necessary elements are available together. The only additions to the card which didn’t come from this disc are the sentiment which came from the paper pack included with the latest edition of Debbi’s magazine “Bringing Inspiration to You” and the shimmer on the water (which may not be too visible in the photo) which is created with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Crystal Clear pen. I absolutely love these pen’s and will talk about them some more in a different post.

I was hoping to use my Brother ScanNCut to make the job a little easier but had some problem getting it to cut out all the toppers whole, it was insisting upon trying to cut out the front foliage as a separate element. Luckily there are loads of video’s on Youtube to help get the most out of the ScanNCut so when I am not in the middle of a project I shall have to study some of them, not to mention watching the tutorial  disc by Mel Heaton that I got with the machine… sorry Mel…
